Castelle Names Robert O. Smith to Board of Directors
Former Digital Power Corporation CEO Brings Broad Operational and Strategic Management Experience to Fax Server Company
MORGAN HILL, CA — March 19, 2004 –Castelle (Nasdaq: CSTL), a leading provider of fax solutions for Fortune 1000 companies and small to medium-sized businesses, today announced that it has named Robert O. Smith to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Smith, 59, comes to Castelle with an extensive record of senior management at the operational, financial and chief executive level. From 1990 to 2004 he has served primarily as Chairman, President and CEO of Digital Power Corporation (Amex: DPW), makers of switching power supplies. Prior to that, he held various senior-level management positions at Computer Products Inc., Harris Computer Systems, the J.M. Smucker Company and Ametek/Lamb Electric. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ohio University.
