These release notes describe new features, enhancements and improvements implemented in Castelle FaxPress Plus 5.0 client and server software.

The FaxPress Plus client and server software have been enhanced for greater fax server reliability and performance. The powerful new features and enhancements available in FaxPress Plus 5.0 are described below.

Features

• Windows Vista compatibility – FaxPress Plus 5.0 client is fully compatible with all editions of 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista.
• Office 2007 compatibility – FaxPress Plus 5.0 is fully compatible with Microsoft Office 2007.
• Exchange 2007 compatibility – FaxPress Plus 5.0 server is fully compatible with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
• Castelle Fax Viewer – Preview received faxes directly in the FaxPress Plus client application. Rotate, flip, zoom in, zoom out, view page thumbnails with the easily accessible Viewer toolbar.
• PDF Print Driver for Windows Vista – easily convert any document from virtually any application into a PDF using this handy utility.
• Incoming fax time stamp – Enhanced imprint header functionality allows for updated header information to be applied to faxes when routed internally.
• Alert Service – Automatically send an e-mail when predetermined events occur on the FaxPress Plus server. Administrators can now stay on top of FaxPress Plus server performance.
• Performance Monitor – Monitor real-time FaxPress Plus server performance using the familiar Performance Logs and Alerts service.

Enhancements/Fixes

• Improved MFP functionality – Enhanced functionality is now provided for Ricoh GlobalScan, EFI, eCopy and Sharp OSA MFP (Multi-Function Printers) devices.
• Improved Archive functionality – Archiving can now be accessed using the Web Client Interface.
