No. MS Word or even non-document binary files may be used. You inform the system of the preferred format; native formats (meaning whatever it finds in the document database), Acrobat format only, text format only; or whether to give the email user the choice between formats. For example, if you choose text only, the system will only publish via EMOD those documents in the Library for which a text version exists.
