SUMMARY
The FaxPress
Premier offers a Load Sharing option. A FaxPress Premier can be either a
Primary or Secondary FaxPress for Load Sharing. If the FaxPress Premier
is a Secondary FaxPress for Load sharing the “Castelle Intel Fax Board
Service” will not start.
DISCUSSION
By design the
“Castelle Intel Fax Board Service” does not start on the FaxPress Premier
when it is set as the “Secondary FaxPress” in a load-sharing
configuration. This is by design as the Primary FaxPress Premier in the
load-sharing configuration controls the Fax Boards for the secondary
FaxPress Premier units. When the FaxPress Premier is set up for load
sharing all user interaction with the FaxPress Premier is done through the
Primary FaxPress Premier. Configuration of this functionality is
described in detail in the FaxPress Premier Administrators Guide starting
on page 6-20 (Premier Server Properties – Load Sharing).

If there is no
FaxPress Premier set as the “Primary FaxPress” or the “Primary FaxPress”
Fails for some reason then the Load Sharing must be disabled on the
“Secondary FaxPress” for users to be able to log into it and send and
receive faxes.
