DISCUSSION
The FaxPress integrates easily with the NEC NEAX 2000 PBX. The system will be programmed as if the FaxPress is a second voice mail system.
Do Not perform this programming unless you
have previously installed and programmed voice mail systems on a NEAX.
First connect the FaxPress to an analog port. Program these ports with extension and put them into their own hunt group with a pilot number. You will need to use program 17 to assign the hunt group attributes. Make sure that the pilot number is assigned as a virtual extension in program 10 that is “busied out”. Also program these ports as voice mail ports and using program 13 set them up for momentary open.
Second
using program 11 creates a virtual extension for each FaxPress box. Using
command E600 Call Forward All Calls of each new virtual to the FaxPress hunt
group pilot.
When
incoming DID calls are received, they will call forward to the FaxPress and the
NEAX 2000 will send the four DTMF digits of the matching virtual extension.
