SUMMARY
 

TrayFaxAlert and Outlook Direct (formerly Exchange Direct) are not compatible and should not both be run on the same PC.  The results of doing so will be unpredictable.

 

DESCRIPTION

Both TrayFaxAlert and Outlook Direct use the same flag to mark an incoming fax as retrieved.  Due to timing it is possible that both may work some of the time or on some systems but it is also possible that one may not work.  In any case it will be an un-reliable solution and it should not be counted on for both programs to work on the same PC at the same time.

There is currently no plan to change this functionality.  To have both email integration and use TrayFaxAlert on your client workstations you must use a different email integration such as the FaxPress SMTP Gateway or Exchange Connector.
